Often we allow ourselves to be upset by small things we should despise and forget. We lose many irreplaceable hours brooding over grievances that, in a year's time, will be forgotten by us and by everybody. No, let us devote our life to worthwhile actions and feelings, to great thoughts, real affections and enduring undertakings.

We often think of enthusiasm as caused by an external event. However, it can be generated from within, becoming an intentional action for transforming virtually anything in our lives. Enthusiasm can take the seemingly small, dull, boring, or unimportant and turn it into something new and magnificent. Learn to strengthen the muscle of your enthusiasm, letting the tiny become great, and you will reclaim your energy and passion.

We look for feedback to our Inspirational Message. It is a way that we grow and learn, for surely our diverse mix of readers deserves to be heard. Because we share Inspirations on several platforms (example: on FaceBook, Linkedin, Blog, and Direct E-mail), we have responses all over the place, and we must put them together if all are to view them. Here is some of the Feedback, and again, we Thank You.

"I do think that l should look forward to the promissory note, why is it stated that we should not count on that!!! It’s like the ant story, they always prepare for the winter and that to me is what l call a promissory note, let’s talk about emergency savings, what do you call that, what about retirement funds, what is that really, saying we should not count on the promissory note is like telling a pregnant woman not to prepare for the birth of the baby with all that entails....as for the today, well, its cash at hand and we should not just use it but USE IT WISELY...

God bless"

--

Below is Our Response to the above message from Swit:

THANKS SO MUCH for your feedback. I fully agree that we should look forward to the promissory note, but not let it hold us prisoner. Yes, PREPARE, BELIEVE and PRAY for tomorrow, but do not be surprised or totally dependent on it turning out like we planned. As I sometimes share with my audiences, PLAN and WORK your plan as if everything depends upon you, and PRAY as if everything depends upon GOD.

Henry

Swit Rose commented on your note "Inspirations for Tuesday, April 20, 2010":
Tuesday, April 20, 2010 8:35 AM

"PREPARE, BELIEVE, PRAY n RECEIVE....l say yesterday is in the tomb and today is in our hands but tomorrow is still in the womb, l agree totally with what you say there....tomorrow does not necessarily mean the day after, why plan if you do not have expectations, that particular expectation is your tomorrow, that particular goal you have in mind is your promissory note, things may not turn out as you planned but your being aware of the worst and hoping for the best, that is your the womb...we PREPARE cause we need to go somewhere, we BELIEVE in what we are preparing to take root, we PRAY so that what we believe in our preparation will be successful n we RECIEVE the fruits of our labor coz of a combination of the previous three....hence why we have dreams...."

Below is feedback from Ors Banhidy:

Henry,

Yesterday is a canceled check: Forget it. Tomorrow is a promissory note: Don't count on it. Today is ready cash: Use it! Edwin C. Bliss Author

Yesterday is a canceled check: Keep it for future reference - it will help you remember what you did right so you can do it again - it will also remind you of what you did wrong so that you don't do it again.

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." George Santayana
Use the present to reflect upon your past - use the present to visualize your future goals - use the present to forge ahead using the past as your reference and the future as your compass.

Based upon a question from any interested reader on Thursday morning, I realize that during our stretch to the next level, the basics are often overlooked. Today I want to share something called “Glad You Asked.” It’s basic, but that’s why I want to be sure it is shared.

Our inspirational messages are often shared from a historical perspective by those some may not consider “everyday people with everyday problems.” Thanks to Jean Ford-Lawrence I am happy to share the following recent article from the Los Angeles Times.

Despite a life of hardship, he's headed for West Point

Throughout a turbulent upbringing and the dangers of South L.A.'s tough streets, Tyki Nelworth kept focused on his studies. It has paid off with a four-year scholarship to the U.S. Military Academy.

Adversity has stalked 18-year-old Tyki Nelworth. His mother is in prison, his father is deceased, and for years he was bounced from home to home.

But the senior at Washington Preparatory High School in South Los Angeles kept focused on his academic goals. He took Advanced Placement classes in English, calculus, biology, chemistry and physics, and nailed a 4.23 grade-point average.

Last week, he got his wish: He was accepted and received a four-year scholarship to the United States Military Academy.

"Indeed! Joy is found through being content with what is, rather than hung up on what was, or frustrated by what is not yet. It helps us move on and achieve our goals. I think our 'inner child' is wise enough to already know this too, and I believe it is who 'calls' us back to our true selves, who is always already content with 'now'.
