The danger of choosing to be measured by the standards of others is that you may set artificially low limits on your own potential.  If what is available to you is the combined wisdom and experience of all who came before you, it is reasonable to believe that you can set new standards, standards which no one has yet dreamed of.  Therefore, respectfully reject the limits that have been set by others and in their place choose the universe as your limit.
